An Israel Defense Forces soldier was moderately wounded and two were lightly wounded when a bomb was hurled at their military Jeep on Wednesday morning in the West Bank city of Nablus.

The wounded soldiers, all from the Paratroopers' Brigade, were taken to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva.

The Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade, an offshoot of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah Party, claimed responsibility.

Dozens of jeeps entered Nablus early Wednesday, moving house to house in the Balata refugee camp in search of militants. Two Palestinians were arrested, they said.

During the operation, the troops uncovered a large explosives factory in Balata.
