Kashtan names Benayoun and Ben Haim to squad

Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun and Chelsea central defender Tal Ben Haim have been included in a 23-man Israel squad for their Euro 2008 Group E qualifier against England at Wembley next Saturday.

The pair will join the rest of the squad named by coach Dror Kashtan yesterday when it arrives in London next week.

Kashtan has recalled three players left out in recent months, Beitar Jerusalem midfielder Michael Zandberg and defenders Yigal Antebi of Hapoel Tel Aviv and Klemi Saban of Maccabi Netanya.

Israel and England played out a goalless draw in their first meeting in the qualifying group in Tel Aviv in March.

Strikers Elyaniv Barda of Belgian side Genk and Pini Balili of Turkish team Sivasspor have also been included.

TA). Midfielders: Yossi Benayoun (Liverpool), Walid Badir (Hap. TA), Gal Alberman (Beitar), Idan Tal (Beitar), Michael Zandberg (Beitar). Strikers: Toto Tamuz (Beitar), Omer Golan (Mac.
