Two women lightly hurt after Qassam hits house in SderotBy Mijal Grinberg and Amos Harel, Haaretz Correspondent Two women were lightly wounded on Thursday after a Qassam rocket fired by Palestinian militants from the Gaza Strip directly hit an empty house in Sderot. One woman was treated for shock and the other for light injuries on her leg. The two were passing by the empty building when the rocket hit. On Thursday afternoon, a second Qassam rocket landed in an open area in the western Negev. No damage or injuries were reported. Also on Thursday, an Israel Defense Forces spokesman said that Golani Brigade soldiers a few days ago arrested a 15-year-old Palestinian in the northern Gaza Strip with two bombs strapped to his body. The statement said that the arrest was carried out after soldiers received a warning of an intended attack. Military sources said they believe the teen was intending to carry out a suicide terror attack. |
