Two motorcyclists killed in separate crashes in Tel Aviv, the GalileeBy Eli Ashkenazi and Jack Khoury, Haaretz Correspondents Two motorcyclists on Saturday died in separate crashes in Tel Aviv and the Galilee. A 23-year-old man died when his motorcycle crashed into a vehicle in Tel Aviv. Earlier, a 30-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a road accident on Saturday morning in the Galilee, near Amirim. A preliminary police examination suggests that the driver crashed into barrier between the lanes on Route 886, and flipped over. A Magen David Adom rescue team arrived at the scene and attempted to treat the man, who was critically injured. However, the team was forced to pronounce his death shortly thereafter. In another accident on Saturday morning, three people were injured, two seriously and one moderately, when their car crashed into a lane barrier on Route 85 near the village of Dir al-Assad. The passengers were evacuated to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa and Western Galilee Hospital in Nahariya. |
