Palestinian boy, 14, says was attacked by two settlers

By Jonathan Lis, Haaretz Correspondent

A 14-year-old Palestinian youth said he was attacked by two armed settlers on Tuesday near the village Kafr Kusra, south of Nablus.

The youth was taken in moderate condition to a hospital in Nablus. Police have opened an investigation.

The boy's father submitted a complaint, after which investigators from the Judea and Samaria police arrived at the scene of the alleged attack.

A second 14-year-old Palestinian told the police officers that he had witnessed the incident. He said that two settlers appeared on an ATV, shot a gun in the air, attacked the boy and took him on the ATV to nearby Kafr Doma.

The Israel Defense Forces forbade police from conducting nighttime searches. The investigation will continue on Wednesday.
