High Court: State has month to draw up outpost removal planBy Yuval Yoaz, Haaretz Correspondent The High Court of Justice on Sunday told the state that it has one month to present a plan for the removal of all illegal settlement outposts in the West Bank. Justice Dorit Beinisch ruled that defense officials, including Peretz, will present the plan to the court in a month's time. The ruling came in response to a petition by Peace Now over the evacuation of the illegal outpost Migron, in the northern West Bank. Last month, the state informed the court that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert had asked Defense Minister Amir Peretz to draw up a plan for the evacuation of all the illegal outposts. In December 2006, the state said that Peretz had instructed Israel Defense Forces officials to negotiate the evacuation of the illegal outposts with the settlers, in the hope that they would leave voluntarily.
