Police arrest social worker suspected of extorting woman for sex

By Jonathan Lis, Haaretz Correspondent

Police on Friday arrested a 33-year-old social worker from Jerusalem on suspicions he threatened to remove her child from her custody unless she had sex with him.

The woman filed a complaint against the man at a Jerusalem police station on Thursday. She told police that over the past three months she had given in to his demands on a number of times fearing her daughter would be taken away.

After interrogation, the social worker was brought before a court to be remanded.
