Taibeh man gunned down in suspected blood feud killingBy Roni Singer-Haruti, Haaretz Correspondent A 30-year-old man on Sunday was gunned down by unknown assailants outside his home in the Israeli Arab town of Taibeh. Police suspect the man, Bilal Abd al-Kader, was the latest victim of a long-standing feud between the al-Kader and Hariri clans which has claimed over 30 victims in the last 13-years. Only three months ago a cease-fire was called by the clans and a written agreement was signed last week. However, police fear Sunday's killing may spark a new round of violence. In addition to the fatality, another man was seriously wounded in Sunday's drive-by shooting. Police located the burnt-out remains of the gunmens vehicle in a field. |
