Kfar Sava man suspected of sexually abusing 4-year-old daughter

The Rishon Letzion Magistrates Court on Saturday extended by three days the remand of a Kfar Sava resident arrested on suspicion molesting his four-year-old daughter.

The father denies the allegations.

Over the weekend, a Kfar Sava resident issued a complaint with the city's police according to which she suspects that her husband molested their daughter by urinating on her on several occasions and lied on top of her.

The child was brought in for questioning, and the father was subsequently arrested in his home.

A police representative at the court said the child's testimony confirms the complaint and that a social worker involved with the case also confirms the information gathered by the police.

The police also said they would look into the possibility that other children in the family were abused.

The police's Sharon Districts spokeswoman however said the opposite, claiming the daughter's testimony does not correspond to the mother's complaint and the police is treating it cautiously.

The suspect's attorney, Shira Maroz, said the father denies the allegations and says that his wife issued the complaint in order to get back at him after the couple discussed the possibility of a breakup.

He father has no criminal record, but had been detained for three days until the investigation is complete.
