Police chief Karadi says law enforcement in Israel is weakBy Haaretz Service Police Chief Moshe Karadi said on Friday that law enforcement in Israel is at a low point. In a speech given at a governmental office in Be'er Sheva, Karadi said the public feels uneasy over its safety and the level of crime deterence. He claimed the police's said weakness is shared by other security forces. "The police doesn't make the law but acts according to it and hopefully the law enforcement branch will be more determined and deter crime," he said. On the matter of the investigation against Finance Minister Abraham Hirchson, the police chief said lots of disinformation had been published by the media and suggested the police be allowed to carry out its job. |
