Police to urge indictment of prime suspect in Katzrin murderBy Jack Khoury, Haaretz Correspondent The police will submit on Monday an affidavit urging the indictment of Roman Zadorov, the prime suspect in the murder of 13-year-old Katzrin resident Tair Rada. The Acre Magistrate's Court on Tuesday extended Zadorov's remand by six days. Judge Ronit Bash ruled that the material gathered during the investigation raised reasonable suspicion againt him. Zadorov's lawyer, David Spiegel, said before the hearing that the fact that neither an affidavit nor an indictment had been served to his client yet proved his innocence. "If the police had evidence to support the allegations aside from a confession and reconstruction of events they would have charged him a long time ago," said Spiegel. |
