Israir flight to Paris makes emergency landing in Athens

By The Associated Press

ATHENS - An Israeli commercial airliner was forced to make an unscheduled landing at Athens International airport on Sunday, after reporting a problem with its cabin air compression system, state-run ANA news agency said.

The Israir Boeing 757 - carrying 228 passengers and 10 crew members - was traveling from Tel Aviv to Paris, and landed in Athens after the pilot reported the problem and requested permission to make an unscheduled landing, the agency reported.

All passengers and crew were in good health. No further information was immediately available.
