Four Holon youths suspected of sexually assaulting girl

By Roni Singer-Heruti, Haaretz Correspondent

The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Juvenile Court on Wednesday extended the remand of four Holon youths aged 15 and 16, who are suspected of sexually assaulting a female teenager.

Police believe one of the youths met the girl on the Internet and came to her house with three friends early last week. Upon meeting the girl the suspects threatened her, beat her and sexually assaulted her.

The girl's mother filed a complaint with Yarkon District Police a few days ago. According to the mother, the girl used a chat service that included her picture. She corresponded with the Holon boy and invited him over to her house a short time after their initial acquaintance.

The girl told police she had no sexual intentions and that she only meant to have a friendly meeting. But the boy entered her home with three friends, who, according to police Commander Moshe Katz "are suspected of having threatened the girl, beating her, and sexually assaulting her while taking pictures of their acts on their cellular phones."

Commander Katz said the suspects also stole items from the apartment before leaving.

The girl's mother questioned her daughter upon returning home but the victim shared the details with her mother only gradually.

Police detectives succeeded in locating the suspects and arrested them. The four confessed to having had sex with the girl, but said the acts were entirely consensual and denied they were violent.
