Lod man suspected of stabbing grandmother to death

Police arrested a Lod resident Thursday afternoon suspected of having fatally stabbed his grandmother and lightly wounding his grandfather.
The man, 21, was believed to be mentally unstable.
An initial police investigation revealed an argument broke out about 4:30 P.M. Thursday between the suspect and his grandparents around the couple's dining table. The man was apparently displeased with the quality of food his grandparents had served.
During the argument, the grandson allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed his grandmother a number of times before turning the blade on his grandfather, who was lightly wounded.
