Four IDF troops admit to beating Palestinian, get 63 days in jail

Four Israel Defense Forces soldiers were sentenced Wednesday to 63 days in prison after admitting to beating a Palestinian at a military checkpoint north of the West Bank city of Nablus.
During a trial conducted by one of their officers, the soldiers admitted they had beaten the Palestinian with a stick.
The man filed a complaint with the civil administration and included a photo documenting the attack, which he had taken using a camera on his mobile phone.
Military police are investigating the event, and the soldiers could face further prosecution, in addition to the punishment already ordered by their officer.
