What is HaaretzQ?
HaaretzQ with New Israel Fund is a conference, but it is more than a conference. It is an opportunity to ask and discuss pressing questions, and to have an Israeli-American discussion about the future, about current issues and their impact on the U.S.-Israeli relationship. We will showcase the movement working for a liberal Israel. We will engage in honest debate about Israel’s most difficult issues with Israelis who are rarely heard in the U.S. And we will come together as a community concerned about the future. Your presence at this conference will make a statement about the depth and breadth of progressive Americans who want Israel to choose the path to the values of liberal democracy.
What is the Q?
The Q stands for questions, and that is the organizing principle for the day. We ask questions, we address questions, we develop ideas to meet questions. Questions are central to Judaism, they riddle the landscape around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and they are the driving force behind journalism. Inquiry. Debate. Discussion. Q.
Who will be going?
Join hundreds of people who share your values for Israel -- peace, democracy, and social justice for all Israelis. With partners from across the country and from Israel, this will be a first-of-its-kind gathering.
Who will be presenting?
An impressive line-up of Haaretz correspondents as well as Israeli, Palestinian and American political leaders, officials, clergy, non-profit leaders and activists. We will continuously update the list of speakers on the conference site. Our initial list includes Aluf Benn, Ari Shavit, Peter Beinart, Amira Hass, Sayed Kashua, MK Tzipi Livni, Saeb Erekat, MK Ayman Odeh, MK Merav Michaeli, MK Tamar Zandberg, Rabbi Arik Ascherman, Amal Elsana, and Talia Sasson.

What time is the conference?
The conference will be held from 9:30 A.M.-6 P.M. There is an opening night gallery event entitled To Whom It May Concern: Photos from the Haaretz Archive on Saturday, December 12, from 6-8 P.M. at the Ronald Feldman Fine Arts Gallery in SoHo.
Will the conference be recorded and posted online?

Is this open to the public?
Of course! Please invite friends and colleagues who you believe would like to participate in the conference. Ticket prices are listed on the website.
What is the “To Whom It May Concern” exhibit?
Haaretz and NIF are excited for the U.S. premier of this exhibit of Haaretz’s photojournalism from Israel’s founding to today. The exhibit runs December 12 through January 30 at the Ron Feldman Gallery, 31 Mercer St., New York, NY 10013. (Please note that the gallery will be closed from December 24-January 3.)

How much do tickets cost?
$536.00 – VIP admission to the opening art exhibition, a special lunch with speakers, and special conference seating.
$236.00 – Admission to the opening art exhibition and the conference.
$72.00 – Discounted young professionals tickets for those in their 20s and 30s, which includes admission to the opening art exhibition and the conference. (Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to apply for this ticket.)
$36.00 - Discounted student tickets, which includes admission to the opening art exhibition and the conference.
What is the $200 “student sponsorship” ticket level?
We are committed to ensuring student attendance at the conference. Your purchase of a “student sponsorship” helps to offset the costs for students to attend and ensures that young people are represented in this vital conversation.
Why can’t I purchase a student sponsorship and my own ticket in the same purchase?
For technological reasons, you must purchase different ticket types in separate transactions. Thank you for your understanding.
Where is the rabbinical student delegation registration page?
Is there a discount for clergy?
Yes, clergy who bring ten or more people from their congregation will receive a special discount. Please email HaaretzQ@nif.org.

Is there a discount for rooms at the hotel?

Will the food be kosher, vegetarian, etc.?

Is my payment tax deductible?
A portion of some tickets are tax deductible.
