It would be more honest if Haaretz mentioned that Five Broken Cameras is foremost a Palestinian film, co-produced by an Israeli and France. Why only mention Israel ? Commenter number one who writes "imagine if our neighbours left us alone" has no clue what these two films are about: in "Gatekeepers", former Shin Beth director Avraham Shalom says that the Israeli occupation really isn't different from the Nazi occupation of France and Belgium, and in Burnad's film "Five Broken Cameras", you follow the Palestinian village Bil'in's non-violent resistance to Israeli occupation and theft of their land. If Israel left it's neighbours alone !

Except 5 Broken Cameras is a Palestinian doco.
- By Helen

OK, an Israeli Jew was involved in editing the documentary but this does not make it an Israeli film; unless Gideon Levy is at one with notion of a single state already existing which includes the West Bank and its non-Jewish people who live without civil rights under military law. Clearly, Yonatan et al who have cheered this 'Israeli' doco have no idea of its real creator and its subject matter.
