Carla Bruni to Perform in Israel

French former first lady will give a concert in May as part of her world tour.

French model, singer and former first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy will perform Israel this May as part of a world tour, Yedioth Ahronoth reports.

Bruni-Sarkozy, 46, will be singing hits from her last album "Little French Songs," which includes loves songs to her husband, former president Nicolas Sarkozy. In one song, she praises him and his unique "Hungarian, Thessaloniki, Jewish" appearance.

She visited Israel four years ago with her husband during a presidential visit. The concert will be held in Tel Aviv's Habima theater.

Bruni-Sarkozy became a singer over a decade ago after a successful modeling career. Her first album "Quelqu'un m'a dit" was a hit. A native of Italy, she sings in English, French and Italian.
