With the summer solstice just behind us, now is a good time to conduct a thorough search of your neighborhood produce store. Near the cash register, behind the greengrocer's back, there will likely be a treasure chest filled with a hodgepodge of tiny crooked cucumbers, reserved for those in the know. The skin of these cucumbers is a little coarse and their greenish flesh is firm and fresh.
