The Israeli band “Izabo” did not reach the Eurovision finals, which will be held on Saturday. Their song, “Time,” did not make it through the first round of semi-finals on Tuesday.
Among the eighteen nations that competed in the semi-finals, the ten nations that advanced to the next round are Moldova, Iceland, Romania, Hungary, Hungary, Denmark, Russia, Ireland, Albania, Greece, and Cyprus. The next round of semi-finals will be held on Thursday.
Before the competition, “Izabo” lead singer Ran Shem Tov told Haaretz “We’re receiving a lot of praise, more than we expected.” Shem Tov was careful with his comments, though he believed the Israeli band had a chance to finish in the top ten, and compete in the finals on Saturday, May 26.
The five major European nations – Britain, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain - that fund the competition will compete in the finals on Saturday, to be held in the Crystal Auditorium Baku, Azerbaijan.
