The summer of 2012 just got even hotter for rock fans, as both grunge star Chris Cornell and singer Morrissey announced their return to Israel.
Cornell, who is the former lead singer of the 90s grunge outfit Soundgarden, will perform on July 16 at the Shuni Amphitheater in northern Israel, and on July 17 at the Nokia Stadium in Tel Aviv. The two shows will likely include material from his latest acoustic album, Songbook, which was released last year.
Morrissey, who is famous for heading the 80s alternative rock band the Smiths, will perform on July 21 in Tel Aviv. This will be his first time back to Israel since his last performance in 2008.
The two former frontmen join the likes of Madonna and Red Hot Chili Peppers who are slated to perform in May and September, respectively.
