Holon Fashion Week attracts big industry names
Week-long event in October drawing a who's who of industry insiders; event to feature lectures, classes and workshops.
The recently released guest list of the upcoming Holon Fashion Week reads like the who’s who of fashion industry insiders. Designers, lecturers, media people and celebrities will kick off the October 14-19 event, titled "Materials of Fashion," with a special gala.
Just a few of the names that stand out: Milliner Steven Jones, BioCouture founder Suzanne Lee, CuteCircuit desingers Francesca Rozella and Ryan Genz, H&M’s creative director Margareta Van Den Bosch, former Elle editor and current H&M fashion department head, Catarina Midby, fashion trend forecaster Louisa Smith, and fashion writer and consultant Robb Young.
The 2013 Holon Fashion Week, or HoF13 for short, will feature panels and lecturers by leading figures, two special pop-up areas and fashion installations. The week-long event will also present a variety of modern technologies, workshops and master classes taught by international guests, on topics such as felting, knitting and crafting with leather. One of the workshops witha particularly promising title, "Growing Fabrics," is about fabrics as plants. Meetings between the international visitors and leading Israeli designers, such as Daniella Lehavi, are also planned for the event.
