A look at the final election statistics, broken down by locale, tells the story of the elections for the 19th Knesset. Israel’s two wealthiest deciles elected a new party for themselves that would represent it and its economic interests in the government: Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid.

There is a vast difference in privilege between the well-to-do working professionals and the true rich in Israel. Voters for Lapid are affluent, but they also work. While they live well, they are finding it difficult to maintain their economic position as more and more of Israel's national income is transferred to its true rich and economically elite class. This socioeconomic class is often perceived as "rich" by those at a lower socioeconomic station then they are... On the other hand, as the physicians, lawyers, accountants, and executives etc. of the Israeli rentier class, they are well aware that they are not really rich and more so than any group, they are meant to feel that they are their well)compensated servants.
thank you
