Strauss Group grows abroad, idles in Israel
Coffee in Europe, hummus in U.S. are bright spots.
While most of the Strauss Group's areas of operations in Israel have been treading water this year the food manufacturer's sales of coffee in Europe and chilled salads in the United States have achieved notable growth and profits. After a costly learning curve the long-term strategy of chairwoman Ofra Strauss is beginning to pay off, as its just-released third-quarter earning report shows.
