Route 6 firm is fined for sharing data
The Justice Ministry slapped Derech Eretz with a NIS 25,000 fine for violating privacy laws. The case came to light after a Route 6 customer complained that her credit card had been charged by Carmelton, the tunnels' operator, without her approval or knowledge.
The operator of the Route 6 toll road was fined for giving information about its customers to the operator of another toll road, the Carmel Tunnels in Haifa.
