Mollified by milk, Israelis forgive Big Dairy
A popular protest may have been triggered by costly cottage cheese just a year ago. That was then. Now consumer brand loyalty is back in fashion.
Just one year after the cottage cheese protest, it seems the fury directed toward dairy product manufacturers has substantially ebbed. A Nielsen report indicates that market shares for the major dairy companies – among them Tnuva Food Industries, whose price increase on cottage cheese caused the storm – were almost entirely unharmed this year.
