Meretz leader seeks to prevent rise in women’s retirement age
Current minimum is age 62, but it is slated to go up.
Meretz party chairwoman Zahava Gal-On submitted a bill over the weekend that would head off apparent plans to raise the retirement age for woman. Gal-On’s legislation is being proposed as the Economic Arrangements Bill that the Finance Ministry is expected to propose shortly in conjunction with the 2013 budget would raise the retirement age for women from 62 to 67.
