Market Report / TASE gains in a week dominated by war and ending in a cease-fire
The TA-25 index gained 0.2% on the day, to 1,211.03 points, while the TA-100 rose 0.3%, to 1,067.99 points.
With a cease-fire in place to end the Gaza Strip military operation of the past week, things settled back into a normal routine on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange on Thursday. The TASE closed up for the week, by 2.5% for the benchmark TA-25 index and 2.1% for the broader TA-100 index. The Communications and Media index and the Gas and Oil index were standouts this week, rising 5.6% and 6.2% respectively.
