Fine for Israel Electric Corp.'s failure to read a meter is due to be doubled
Authority says the measure is a response to an increase in the rate of missed meter readings between the first half of 2011 and the second half of 2012.
The Electricity Authority is seeking to double the fine on the Israel Electric Corporation for failing to read a customer's meter more often than the rules allow. Under its proposal, the fine would rise from NIS 12.50 to NIS 25, to be paid to the customer as a credit in his bill.
