SuperCom approved to supply U.S. federal authorities
e-ID solutions maker won U.S. General Services Administration Information Technology Schedule Contract
By TheMarkerElectronic ID technology provider SuperCom (OTCBB: SPCBF.OB; Euronext: SUP) may have its opening to the American market. The company, which provides smart card and electronic identification (e-ID) solutions, announced that its U.S. subsidiary SuperCom Inc has been approved by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).
Technically, SuperCom received a Federal Supply Schedule Information Technology Contract for its products, including its Homeland Security and First responder product line. It is difficult to sell such products widely in the American market without the nod of the GSA, explain market sources.
The products that won approval include SuperCom's First Responder system, which is designed for first-response rescue teams in disaster areas.
The contract award enables all U.S. federal and state agencies to buy SuperCom products from a GSA-approved price list with agreed-upon terms and conditions, the company says.
The company commented that the contract award should expedite and facilitate sales of its gear to American authorities.
As a GSA business partner, SuperCom and the GSA technically form a marketing partnership.
