Cellphone company sued for renaming a dissatisfied customer: Mr. Stupid Person
Samir Samchayev is suing cellular services provider Partner for NIS 50,000 for defamation after receiving bill addressed to "Mr. Stupid Person"; Samchayev had canceled his father's line after spate of problems.
By Hila Raz Tags: Israel newsA customer who decided to leave cellular services provider Partner has received a bill addressed to "Mr. Stupid Person," so he is suing Partner for NIS 50,000 for defamation.
The customer, Samir Samchayev, had a number of phones from Partner and decided to cancel his father's line after he suffered a spate of technical and other problems.
Samchayev said Partner's customer service reps who tried to convince him to stay used his bill to insult him and take revenge.
Samchayev said it was clear this was not a misprint as his details on Partner's Web site also called him Mr. Stupid Person.
Partner said it had yet to receive the suit, but after a thorough examination determined that someone outside Partner had made the change via the site. Partner said that only the customer or someone acting on his behalf could have made the change.

Why don't you guys post more news pieces like this? I was laughing out loud just imagining the person getting his phone bill! I hope the judge in the court hearing agrees with the phone company on this one... ;) indeed, it's even "stupider" to sue for something this "stupid" hahaha
