Expanding Israel's NIS 100K Philanthropy Club

Almost half of Israeli nonprofits’ funding comes from the government, while relatively few Israelis donate more than NIS 100,000 to NGOs here. A new initiative is seeking to change that.

Nonprofit organizations continue to rely heavily on government support, according to data released earlier this month by the Central Bureau of Statistics.
