With Livni gone, the old boys’ club is back in full swing

Thanks for a good article. Chemi Shalev is absolutely right. The Israeli leadership is terrified of women and that's why we have the society we have. The old men club is working for full and their next attacking goal will not be Iran but the opposition leader. Not because she is the opposition but because she, like Livni, is of course a woman. I just don't understand why people are blaming Livni for not joining the government. First, she got most of the votes. Second, if Netanyahu didn't want to join her, that is not her fault. Third, with Netanyahu forming the goverment Livni had no choice but to stay in opposition. The people who voted with Livni voted against Netanyahu, she owed it to the people who voted for to stay away.

Livni has only herself to blame. She could have been the 2nd most powerful person in Israel with tons of influence. She couldn't compromise and lost power. Don't make this about anti-feminism.
