07 0 0It must gripe the Pro-Pals that Hagel believes in the Jewish Identity of Israel.

It looks like the Pro-Pals bought Kristol's propaganda that Hagel is anti-Israel. He is not and never has been. Hagel will continue to supply military aid including Iron Dome batteries. Israel will keep its military edge even while Hagel is Secy of State.

06 0 0Israel’s Jewish identity means coercive religious orthodoxy only
- By fred
- 08 Jan 2013
- 02:08PM
It fundamentally excludes 2/3 of the US Jewry that do not belong to monopolistic Orthodoxy as well as all those people born from a mixed Jewish and non-Jewish background although they may have Jewish identity too. Also, it does not recognize those who feel their Jewish identity is mostly cultural in nature. Thus, Israel’s official Jewish identity is as not vibrant and rich as it could be.

It is interesting that US Jews (correctly) oppose our becoming a Christian nation because it would make them second-class citizens without the charge being made that they are anti-christian, Why is that so while they insist that following the same rules for Israel they use for the US makes one anti-semitic?

It appears to me that Mr. Hagel thinks of the USA first, second and third. That his loyalty has been is and will always be to the USA. And, he appears to unafraid of the USA Jewish politicians at any level including the Jewish lobbyist! I want this man to be our Secretary of Defense.
