The IDF Spokesman's website is not usually in the business of breaking stories, so Sunday's report on the Operations Department instructions defining the roles of cyber warfare in the IDF's operational doctrine was unexpected and intriguing. According to the report,

State secrets are normally kept secret for decades, if not forever. The White House is now taking credit for various covert operations because elections are coming up soon and incumbent Obama wants to win again. Some would view these announcements, themselves, as endangering American national security. IDF statements, though, reveal nothing that any foreign security professional hasn't known for years, anyways.
