I do not see this as a "melting pot" or "social contract". I see the minorities out populating the whites. I have been reading on twitter all night in several hashes "whitey is getting is....days of the white america are over....time their oppression started....time to break whitey". I am not seeing any of that kind of talk from the Romney people. What gives? Also, I am a white moderate who wants low taxes and smaller govt. Who represents me? Obama don't.

One should not over idealize about the USA. It too is a relatively young country and it remains to be seen whether it will become increasingly like its neighbors to the South as its demographics change. It is uncelar wheher the factors that made the USA such a success in the 20th century are still at play in the 21st century.
