Israeli secular liberals must demand autonomy

Interesting... I can see how you might control the legal, academic and media spheres of society, as well as the civil society to some extent... but BUSINESS? Huh! If only that were the case HERE in the states! Instead, it seems like the vast majority (or at least a sizeable one) of business owners are pretty damn conservative. :/ Perhaps if they were more LIBERAL AND OPEN-MINDED TO ACTUALLY GIVING A D*MN about workers and not just HUGE profits, esp. in corporations like Exxon, there'd be a better distribution of good-paying jobs, lower income inequality, etc.? Esp. LESS LAYOFFS... Corporations in the states are VERY schizophrenic in that regard, it seems. ANY "big increase in expenses", no matter how small relative to profits, is considered "uncompetitive" and thus requires layoffs, in their view. Corporate execs here in the states are far too short-sighted, selfish and greedy! Look, I have no problem with running your own business and making a decent profit. But after a certain amount of return, isn't there a LITTLE bit of flexibility with regards to cost, and you don't have to SCHIZOPHRENICALLY CUT JOBS EVERY TIME YOU FACE A NEW 'COST' and assume that makes you "uncompetitive", esp. with regard to massive offshoring of jobs in this country. My god... If there ARE more liberal businessmen in the states than I have assumed or know of, they sure as hell AREN'T MAKING THEMSELVES KNOWN OR REALLY SPEAKING OUT TO HELP DROWN OUT THE FAR-RIGHT VOICES IN OUR POLITICAL SYSTEM! >.< Just imagine how much better our economy would be if our businessmen weren't far-right a-holes.
