You may or may not like Naftali Bennett, the leader of the Jewish Home Party. But even if he’s far from your cup of tea politically, even if you think he’s the embodiment of everything bad and dangerous in Israel and scary ideas lurk behind his baby face, there’s one thing about him that can’t help but make you smile.

Naftali Bennett’s American parents are kvelling with pride
The leader of Habayit Hayehudi party can't escape his American Jewish roots and his Californian parents, who are extremely proud of their all-Israeli Orthodox son.
thank you

Parents are always proud of their children when they succeed (well, almost always). But I have sometimes wondered how parents of a successful child feel when he changes his family name from, say, Bornstein to Oren. Do they lose their bragging rights? Do they have to make explanations? Do people talk?

the way all of the policiticians in Israel do it, with money. In the case of Bennett, he used in own money. In the case of the other Israeli politicians including Netanyahu, they raise it from foreign Jewish millionares and billionares. So much of national sovereignty.

he is speaking of the importance of bringing zionist ideals to israel and then perfectly presents himself as the antagonist in Herzl's vision.

I don't believe that Naftali Bennett of Bayit Hayehudi has the background and worldview for Israel's requirements to move forward with its sociopolitical needs. For example, there's nothing about reconciliation and coexistence with the Palestinians and Middle Eastern nations.

Unlike Peres, Barak, and the other delusional characters, who dream of a peace of appeasement. Your enemy is not ready to concede one iota. Only the disappearance of Israel will suffice. Israel needs those who will stand up to the threats of the enemy, and expose the truth of our validity to our nation.

I hope readers from Israel and abroad realize that there are peace-loving, liberal advocates of equality for all in Israel who are from the US. We are certainly not all like Bennet and his ilk. Peace brothers and sisters!

Israel is sorely in need of Bennett. You peace lovers miss one critical thing, your blindness toward an enemy who wishes Israel's destruction. Everyone wants peace, especially Bennett. Just not your blind, liberal way.

are either Orthodox or haredi (ultra-Orthodox). They come to study at haredi yeshivot (rabbinical seminaries) and stay, producing prodigious amounts of off spring; or, infused with messianic fervor, they come to resettle the biblical Judea and Samaria, today known as the West Bank.
