Iran loves Cartoons. The Regime loves cartoons so much that Ahmadinejad held a World Holocaust Cartoon Competition. This he did while calling for the assassination of anyone who had anything to do with the Danish Cartoon of Mohammed. Bibi's sense of humor has backfired but sense of humor is something that has eluded the Iranian Mullahs since birth.

With the passing of Herbert Lom the only thought that that flashed through my mind was Inspector Cleusoe with his silly pronounciation of there is a bomb. Oh dear Mr Netanyahu. very silly move.

That the American people were the intended audience for Netanayur's cartoon is probably right but the mainstream American media do not give any space to Abbas or the Palestinian viewpoint anyway. Netanyahu has exposed himself (and Israel) to ridicule for exactly what? You gotta be joking if you think it was to drown out the words of Abbas to the American people - his words would not have been heard anyway. The impression of the cartoon ( and all of the delicious satire it has generated) will last. I just think this is incredibly stupid as it also locks Israel in as a major instigator of any military action by the USA against Iran in popular American opinion. If any future American strike against Iran goes horribly wrong, it is also settling up Israel as a scapegoat in American popular opinion. And yet, if the US strikes, it will be because it thinks that it is in the real interests of the US. I wonder if Netanyahu and the geniuses in his government has ever weighted up the long term damage his push for military action aganist Iran may do on the relationship between Israel and popular American opinion? Is Netanyahu and his ilk really the best that Israel can produce?

Mr. Netanyahu has revealed an utter lack of knowledge. The 'red' line he drew was at weapons grade Highly Enriched Uranium. The 'red' line should be at 20% such as is necessary to fuel the Tehran Research Reactor. Iran has no peaceful use for 70% or 90% enriched Uranium. Mr. Netanyahu has revealed his ignorance.
