I speak for many Americans when I say that we have for years defended Israel at any cost. Israel's current leadership and its provocations, arrogance, and constant disrespect of our leaders, let alone your neighbors, international goodwill, and peace in general, have led many of us to be just disgusted. AIPAC might have its claws in our congress members but apart from the wackjob evangelicals, support in the US is fading quickly. The generation that even remembers hearing about the Holocaust from parents, etc., is dying off. I am 42 and don't remember any of the wars that Israel bravely fought for its existence. ALl we know now is your treatment of the Palestinians and our own President. Do not count on US popular support forever. Yes, we may need you for intelligence/armaments but I am pretty sure that given antipathy to Israel by the populace that this should not be counted on forever. Also, do not count on evangelicals. Their power is waning. Look at our election results. I will not meddle in Israel's affairs (unlike Mr. Netanyahu trying to shake up our election) but just think that Israel is counting on support in the US that is RAPIDLY dissipating.
