By keeping Abbas under a glass ceiling, Israel is forgetting its real enemy

the televised demeaning, demonizing, and maligning of jews in arab/muslim countries is abhorrent. such hatefulness cannot possibly be promoting peace and friendship. such things would not be broadcast in israel.

How can you tell when Abbascis lying? Whenever you see his lips move. He is irrelivent and no partner to make peace with.

Left to your assumptions, Abbas and his cronies would drag Israel to the Hague in a moment. Their fraudulent claims and accusations against israel are meant to perpetuate their aggression, not create peace. Abbas is no different than the Imams and Hamas who preach the destruction of Israel and the Jewish people. He just simply wears a suit. Uplifting him as an equal will burn Israel, as he will pull out all false propaganda to villify Israel. He simply has no claims, and all his so-called rights are false. Prior to Israel reclaiming Jerusalem, it was of no improtance to the Palestinians. They seek to systematically dismantle Israel, together with the Liberals in Israel. Surely, he will fail in a big way. Nobody will fall for his false BS views.

Israel has to face reality, a rather disconcerting reality to diehard Zionists.: the end of Zionism. Zionism--a myth with no sustainable roots in the historical process--- cannot endure without the continued use of oppressive, illegal force associated with the brutality of the occupation. It s not Israel's existence that is a stake, but how its leaders decided it must exist that has alienated it from world opinion. No state can long survive when its existence depends chiefly on the use of military force.

How can you stop another intifada against injustice if you can't stop this injustice.

Not only will it show their support on the world stage, but it will give the Israel the boost it needs proving who is sincere about peace. And peace should mean a safe and secure recognized by all, including Arab countries, state of Israel and a safe and secure Palestinian state...and everything that goes along with that.

His speeches in Arabic behind closed doors attest to these facts but he tries in public to show he's willing to compromise and accept living in peace besides a Jewish State. Will Abbas accept a 360 degree Israeli security cordon around a future Palestinian State as necessitated by Israel's understandable distrust of the relationship? Abbas' guile is to take a first gentle appeasing step back to 1967 lines and then to take more empowered stomps with his salivating Islamist friends over a more vulnerable Israel back to 1948 and beyond.

"Stick with Abbas because he's nicer than Hamas" is essentially what he's trying to get across. This is a fallacy. Hamas represents the problem Israel must solve and Abbas is distracting us from this problem."Propping up the moderates is good for Israel". The problem here is that Abbas is not a moderate. Perhaps one day the left will understand this. "Fear a third intifada". I don't fear it, I welcome it. Any time the Palestinians show their true nature it benefits Israel.

Now who exactly are facing the palestinians appart froml israeli extremists ? no one.

when they were actually blocking the road to peace. Now the international community is trying to build an alternate road to peace in order to bypass Israel. They expect Israel to object to this and Israel has objected. Objection noted. Now sit down and shut up as the adults have some road building to accomplish.

Mr;Abbas has proved to be a true partner for peace and israel may lose his soon.Then israel has to deal with extremist leaders as Mr.Haniyyeh of Gaza for example if not worse.

as another bomb, rocket or bullet ends the life of another Human being, then I'll gladly believe in Peace. Until then, all the arguments, debates and assumption are meaningless in my mind.
