About this blog
Since my last post with Avi Issacharoff in the MESS Report blog last year, the Middle East has changed immensely. In the wake of the Arab Spring, a new political reality has emerged in the region, one that affects each country individually and has enormous implications on Israel, as well.
The two of us have been covering the Middle East, with a focus on politics and security, for more than a decade. Wars have hit, terrorists have struck, peace initiatives have been signed (and often forgotten) and governments have changed hands.
The Middle East is a volatile region. To narrow analysis down to one viewpoint is impossible, but to try to find a balance in perspectives is, no matter how often opinions seems to contradict.
In this blog, I aim to engage this complex region on a broader scope and to give our readers a balanced and credible picture of the reality in this region. This blog will bring you in-depth analysis, as well as our own personal observations about the region that we live in.
