Visit Jerusalem's new Museum of Tolerance. Feel your blood boil

There are two sides to tolerance. The receiving side and the giving side. It seems to me the rabbi forgot the second part. But the most shocking is that he got the green light for this project. In no civilized and, yes, tolerant country would it be allowed to build a museum on top of an ancient graveyard. It shows again that the current government doesn't have any respect for people who adhere to a different religion. Tolerance? My foot!

This museum's name is an obvious misnomer and even a hypocrisy which Bradley Burston so succinctly points out in his article. Personal self-aggrandizement and vaingloriousness have no place in a project that was designed to promote tolerance and compassion - hopefully applied across the spectrum of all of humanity. To simply ignore and disrespect the sentiments and sensibilities of almost half of the population of Jerusalem is nothing short of arrogance and presumptuousness testifying to the ignominious character of the sponsors of this project.

The name Jerusalem means "(the city that the god (Shalem founded".. Once you understand that, you no longer need to examine the contradiction between a supposed city of peace and the actual situtation,

Bradley, I applaud this column which describes this open sore in the heart of our city with such genuine tolerance. I would have used the term "cancer in our body" to describe this disaster but that term already been taken by those who certainly don't know tolerance, but then again it appears that neither does Rabbi Hier. Perhaps your calm explanation of everything that is wrong with this "edifice to self" will be more successful than all the previous protests that have have failed.
